In a group of businessmen which have visited China with Bronislaw Komorowski, President of Poland there is Sebastian Paszek, Watt chairman.
Bronislaw Komorowski, from 18 to 22 December is in China with a few-day visit, which has been his first visit in Central Country for 14 years. The aim of the visit is to strengthen the image of Poland as a major EU country and an important economic partner with whom it is worth to invest. The President's official business trip to China is accompanied by about a hundred representatives of companies from many sectors: energy, engineering, financing, green technology, transport, construction and pharmaceutical industries, including representatives of, among others: KGHM Polish Copper, Orlen, Enea, PLL Lot, Huta Stalowa Wola, Kopex, Petrolinvest, Polfa Łódź, Bakoma, Bioton. Among them are representatives of the Watt company - Sebastian Paszek, the Chairman and Jacek Paluch, Foreign Trade Director. As Bronislaw Komorowski underlined in an interview with Polish journalists, the most important purposes of a general nature is “to create a favorable climate for economic cooperation between China and Poland, and also between some specific Chinese and Polish companies." At a meeting with Chinese business in Shanghai, which is - in the opinion of the President - an important place of changes, including also Poland and China, Mr. Komorowski presented seven reasons why one should be interested in Polnad. - EU is the first partner for China and Poland is among 27 EU countries the 6th largest economy, considering the size – underlined the President in a statement to the press. - Poles are naturally energetic – said the President Komorowski. - This applies to different areas, including science and higher education, but it also has its source in the feature, which Chinese people certainly understand - hard work and making heavy efforts. During the visit three forums were scheduled: the economic (in Beijing), investment (in Shanghai), and academic.
After the Shanghai investment forum, the Polish delegation will travel to Beijing and meet with highest authorities’ representatives. On Tuesday, 20th December 2011 there will be a meeting with the President Hu Jintao, and on Wednesday with Wu Bangguo, the President of the Chinese Parliament and Wen Jiabao, the Prime Minister.
